Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Gignomic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit gignomic.com (the “Site”). Please read it carefully. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide voluntarily

When you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect the information you submit — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically, including:

  • Your IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs
  • Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)

This information is collected through cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies (see Section 3).

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Respond to questions or messages you send us
  • Understand how readers use the Site so we can improve content and navigation
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, or abuse
  • Comply with applicable laws

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

Gignomic uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — and similar technologies to operate the Site and deliver advertising. Here is what we use:

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site — which pages are read most, how long people stay, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to collect this data. The information is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

For more information on how Google uses data when you use our Site, see: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Functional cookies

WordPress, the platform we use to publish the Site, may set cookies to manage comment forms and other basic site functions. These do not track you across other websites.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking cookies may affect some Site functionality. For guidance, visit your browser’s help documentation.

4. Third-party links

Our articles often link to external websites — government agencies, financial product websites, and other publications. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

5. Affiliate relationships

Some articles on Gignomic contain affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We disclose affiliate relationships at the top of any article that contains them. Our editorial content and recommendations are not influenced by these relationships.

6. Children’s privacy

This Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our Site, please contact us at gignomic@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data retention

We retain contact form submissions and correspondence for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted unless there is an ongoing reason to keep them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at gignomic@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
